Dr.  Mark James, is a Community Ophthalmologist, and also Clinical Lecturer in Ophthalmology in UCC. He is responsible for the development of the Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Programme for the Mid-West which commenced in January 2010. The Medical Eye Clinic provides an extensive treatment facility at MPHC.
