MPHC is a purpose built primary care centre which opened on May 4 th 2010. Our aim is to provide open access and the best healthcare possible for to the people of Mallow and North Cork. The building was built to the highest medical standard and is operated and managed to best international standards.
Situated on the outskirts of Mallow, at the crossroads of Munster, MPHC is home to three general practices, HSE services, South Doc Out of Hours Service, North Cork Community Mental Health Service, pharmacy, optician and a cafe. In addition to these services we also provide many specialist services in The 4th Practice such as ophthalmology, sports medicine, orthopaedics, respiratory medicine, an ultrasound service, clinical psychology, physiotherapy, speech and language, occupational medicine, dietetics, podiatry and chiropody, vacectomy,counselling and electrolysis hair removal. We also provide a number of nurse led clinics such as warfarin, cardiac, diabetes, respiratory, travel medicine, phlebotomy and venesection.
MPHC is also a dedicated training centre with links to the medical schools in UCC and UL as well as the Cork and South West GP Vocational Training Scheme. We also provide nurse training and training for medical secretaries. We continuously reassess what we do and research ways of providing an improved service for our patients.
MPHC provides up to 300 free car parking spaces for patients and visitors. The onsite cafe and Pharmacy are also open to the public.
